Das,
You are most welcome! I used to love wood burning stoves, fireplaces but I keep a distance from them now:(. I am now grateful for a beautiful gas lit fireplace. It is important to check ventilation even with gas lit fireplace. I always opened a window when I turned it on due to the smell of chemicals when I turned it on. We can’t give up everything we love, we just need to be mindful of how we use these special items .

If you have a wood-burning fireplace, it's important to have proper ventilation. Smoke and fumes can irritate your lungs, and over time, repeated exposure may lead to increased sensitivity, irritation, and decreased lung function. While it's normal to lose some lung function as you age, the rate of loss can vary depending on your lifestyle, environment, health conditions, and experiences as a child. In my home, I use a fireplace with a special vent that keeps out smoke and helps distribute heat safely. This way, you can enjoy the warmth of the fire while protecting your lungs from harmful fumes.
