My dear mum passed away on 5th June. I made it over to Ireland to be with her. She had dementia but was physically very healthy. She made it to 90! The journey and the grief is taking its toll.
I am using my new saline nebuliser and doing my airway clearance. I am starting Pulmonary Rehab tomorrow. Feeling nauseous these days wonder if the return of NTM is causing it? This feeling did coincide with me starting the saline nebuliser. Just wondering if this has happened to others. I had my ID appointment last week plan is to have a CT scan soon and treat the Abscessus which can be fast growing. I also have Mac. I am going to see Prof Marc Lipman who is a well know respiratory consultant. My consultants will have a team meeting with him too to discuss treatment going forward. Hope everyone is coping well with their symptoms. Have a lovely Sunday!

Niamhy,
Hello! I am so sorry for your loss- the loss is a parent , at any age is very difficult. The grief will take it toll- I know a lot about the impact of grief. Grief support is available in many churches/ communities if you are up to it.
Nausea is not a common side effect of normal saline but it is experienced by some patients. Do you have high blood pressure?
I am glad that you have upcoming appointments to coordinate your plan of care very soon.

Thank you! My blood pressure is normal.  Yes prayer helps with grief. I find it great to talk about mum but when both parents are gone it is strange.

You are most welcome! Glad your blood pressure is normal. It is a strange feeling when your parents are gone. It is therapeutic to speak about your mum. Grief is an unpredictable emotion- little things can trigger emotions.

I am so sorry for your loss. I also lost my mother to dementia when she was 59. I am happy that you were able to make it over to be with her. Thinking of you as you navigate your grief.  You have a community of support and there is no right or wrong way to grieve. Do the things you find comfort in and remember that grief has no timeline. Take time for yourself now and even months from now.

Jenny,
I am so sorry for the loss of your mom, at such a young age. I agree that grief does not gave any timeline. We all have a different way and timeframe to deal with our grief.
