On top of everything else, last Thursday I suffered hearing loss in both ears. Can't hear anything more than five feet away, and closer sounds are muffled. In case it was caused by azythromicin my ID doc told me to stop taking that medication until further notice. It's not common, but macrolides have occasionally been implicated in hearing loss. Been taking AZ since last December. What's concerning is that I have not been able to clear MAC from my lungs, the three most recent AFB tests were positive for MAC, and AZ is the lead antibiotic. I might soon be adding clofazimine now that the paperwork has been processed. Anyway, if you reply to this post PLEASE TYPE LOUDLY so I can hear it, ha ha.

Marsrocket ,
I am so very sorry to read your update; I am impressed with your good sense of humor, despite of your health challenges. I hope that the Clofazamine gets approved soon.

Oh buddy, I hate that you’re facing this bump in the road. I’m glad you’ve got a good care team—it sounds like they’ve been there for you through other tough times, and I trust they’ll help you through this one too. Wishing you the best, and remember we’re here if there’s anything we can do.
