Hi there Happy Holidays!
I’m about to try the new pill Brinsupri and I’m worried about side effects.

Welcome back Mari! This drug takes an average of six weeks to see real results in the majority of patients. I haven’t heard of any major side effects- skin and dental issues were reported in a small percentage of patients. Below is information on Brinsupri : https://www.brinsupri.com/?msclkid=ff712df8d31b1d43439744bbc2ec2e2f&utm_source=bing&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=Brinsupri%20Mobile&utm_term=brinsupri%20medication&utm_content=brinsupri%20general
I wish you the very best with Brinsupri!
Please keep us updated with how you are doing! Wishing you a very happy holiday!
Hi Mari305. I am in several groups both here and on Facebook. So far, I haven't seen any reports of side effects. It is true what Katie said, that you won't see results for a while, and the medicine is fairly new to market. I am hopeful that we will continue to see "no news" of side effects, and the community can rest easy. I encourage you to let your doctor know right away if any side effects occur.
Good luck Mari👍
There is an Airtivity trial with Insmed ongoing if you don't have NTM, just bronchiectasis...it is the 2nd generation of the drug you were prescribed...I would take that over the treatment for NTM any day. If you are iffy, I would look into the similar drug to reduce exacerbations if not diagnosed with NTM. Sorry doesn't link properly...look up airtivity research trial on Google or similar and see if you qualify and where there is a study near you. Hope that helps...or copy paste below.
