How are you feeling with the colder weather? Some of us with the additional diagnosis of Asthma may need to use our inhalers more frequently. Cold air , winds can cause bronchospasms in some individuals. It is best to wear a scarf 🧣 and to carry your inhaler with you when you are out and about.

Good tips...Cold weather can be tricky for us
Das23,
Yes, it can be for some individuals, others are fine and not bothered by the weather changes.
Make sure you use a spacer with your inhaler! A spacer is a useful tool that helps improve how inhaled medications are delivered to your lungs. It allows you to breathe in the medication and reduces the risk of it getting stuck in your throat and tongue. Using a spacer can help you have better control of your symptoms because more medication will land in the lungs.
My mom is really struggling with the cold weather and massive weather shifts in Virginia. It is surprising how a small thing like a scarf could really help her (and I often forget to suggest those little things). Thanks for the reminder, Katie.
