Hello! Health care disparities exist throughout the world. Social determinants affect the quality of care for respiratory patients. There are well-documented health disparities in pulmonary disease related to factors such as race, socioeconomic status, and sex. Interventions have been trialed to address these disparities with varying results. Future research is needed to validate interventions to reduce disparity and to understand how to plan validated interventions to meet the community's local needs.
