Hello! Healthcare workers are supposed to wash their hands between patients, as part of their infection control measures . We, as patients, must advocate for ourselves if we do not see a health care provider washing their hands before they examine us. Nosocomial infections is a term for infections acquired while in a hospital or healthcare facility.
