🌍 It’s World NTM Awareness Day! 💙
On Bronchiectasis and NTM 360social, we spend each day supporting, learning, and lifting one another--but today, we’re putting a special spotlight on raising awareness for NTM lung disease!
👉 A few things that might surprise you:
• NTM lung disease is becoming more common, especially in people with chronic lung conditions like bronchiectasis.
• Over 86,000 people in the U.S. are living with it--and many more may not even know they have it.
• People with bronchiectasis are 37 times more likely to develop NTM than those without.
• The earlier it’s caught, the better--awareness truly makes a difference.
If you’re living with NTM, caring for someone who is, or simply learning more--you’re helping move things forward. Every story shared, every question asked, every moment of support brings us closer to better care and understanding.
💬 If you'd like, share how you’re marking the day or give a shout-out to someone in this community who inspires you.
Let’s keep the momentum going--raising awareness, showing up for each other, and continuing the conversation! 💛
